This was one of the more challenging designs I’ve had to wrap my brain around. There are so many bigger initiatives we want to use this vehicle for, but how do you make a design fit an Art + Design college while making it evergreen and exciting?

The next stage is to apply augmented reality through an app - so when you point your app’s camera at this truck, the designs come alive and move. Excited about this piece!

This eBook was an extremely fun project with writing that I fully align with. I was able to use a minimalist design approach paired with some infographic-esque areas for this piece. This was a joint project for Wiley Beyond and Digital Wellness Institute and it tested my layout skills along with interactive portions of design for the user.

Wiley Beyond came as a new brand with some great areas of exploration. It’s vibrant yet sophisticated design helps attract more than just one type of audience member. It was thrilling to put together branding pieces from ads, sales slicks, PowerPoint templates in addition to some images used in our online articles and an eBook (in a partnership with Digital Wellness Institute).

This was a piece that was specifically driven off of data received on Concordia University, St Paul’s online graduates. Working with the team, we took this data and made sense of it. With minimal copy and mostly numbers to work with, this was a fun infographic to design.

The infographic starts with the main number of graduates and as you move down the piece, it begins to break down the demographics of that number. This piece can be seen live here.

Conventionally a longer-type infographic, but a fun one with loads of impactful information about the undergraduate student and their demographics. All based around the Undergraduate Student Segmentation Report from Wiley Education Services.

If you’re on this site, reading this right now, it’s not rocket science to know that technology is everywhere. And for those looking for the biggest places for tech, this infographic is definitely for them.

For this piece, I wanted to take an approach that was unlike a typical “tech” look - since the tech industry is growing, that means that the appeal is larger. Playful and whimsical, this infographic plays into the notion that technology is never static and always growing and changing.

This corporate case study focuses on the impact Learning House had on one particular client. There are a few case studies out, but this one in particular was fun to design.

I wanted a minimal look and feel for the report since the audience would be leaders in the higher education realm. But this piece also plays into the newest logo and branding structure put into place for Learning House. With a new identity, this first piece would show off the professional stance Learning House wanted to portray.

To help drive engagement from currently enrolled students, I brought the Social Media team’s Facebook contest idea to life. This was a fun piece to design and I tried to focus on appeal from a range of demographics. With multiple graphics for sharing, Facebook groups, and the contest page, consistency was key.

This will be the 6th annual Online College Students report that I have designed out of 7. In this annual report, I layout the information in an easily digestible manner while also maintaining high integrity of design. Every year it’s fun to work on a new, unique cover that will have a similar meaning: the online college student is not always what they seem.

This is one of my favorite annual pieces to work on and, while there are a lot of moving pieces with lots of hands in the pot, I look forward to it.

This is a touchy subject to speak on, so I wanted to make sure that the presentation was fun and light. This particular infographic had a lot of copy to work with, so it was tricky to maneuver the piece so it didn’t look too copy heavy. I feel like the result is a piece that you can easily scan through and gain great knowledge, but has the ability to dive deeper into the data you might stop at.

This client wanted to join in the shenanigans that April brings. Their ideas were brainstormed and didn’t seem like they had much “fool”-ing in them, so I worked with the Social team to create a post that the Software Guild’s audience would love. The Software Guild teaches coding, so why not play into the fact that Internet Explorer is seen as “the worst”?

This downloadable guide was one that I wanted to play around with the idea that every page was different, but still had a congruent style and feel to it. A lot of times with report or guide layouts, the client expects the same thing on every page, so I tested my limits with this piece - pushing myself to design past those limitations - and the client loved it.

This was a really fun infographic to design because it was outside my comfort zone. I love layout and being very precise with design, but I wanted to test how whimsical I could get with this piece while still holding design integrity for the audience. The result is a fun infographic about the demographics of higher education - which can be seen as a boring topic to some.

Each year, while producing the annual Online College Students report, we find the best and most unique facts from the report to create an piece that draws other audiences in. Because the nature of this information may only interest those in a higher education leadership position, a generic piece might not call this information out in a creative manner. This year was particularly fun to tap into the when music became more accessible and portable.

I personally loved taking a unique approach to design with this infographic. The world of social media is growing, so keeping up with design styles and trends are part of that. Playing with the comeback of gradients, this piece makes being a manager seem so much more fun in the social media realm.

This one, well this one is probably something I’m most proud of. Mostly because of how I was given direction. I was given a detailed mapped-out drawing of what our CAO (Chief Academic Officer) envisioned giving as a handout for a presentation. His confusing road map, drawn first on a napkin and then transferred to a sheet of paper, made more sense as I dissected it into a readable form. Below the drawing is the result.

I love working with new brands - especially setting up the Learning House’s new look and feel with the release of their new logo. This piece really showcased a modern twist to uphold the professional higher education leader Learning House aimed to be presented as. My favorite part of designing a piece is laying out the information in the most captivating way while also making it digestible.
